Product Test: Sun-Foil Aircraft Reflecting and Insulating Sunscreens
Location: Scottsdale, Arizona - Scottsdale Municipal Airport Ramp
Objective: To determine the ambient air and glare-shield temperatures of a parked aircraft with and without Sun-Foil Aircraft Sunscreens installed.
Test Parameters: A Piper Malibu remaining stationary for a period of five consecutive days was used for the test. Recording thermometers were placed in the aircraft; one was placed on the glare-shield, the other on the co-pilot's arm rest. Temperatures were read each day at 5:00pm with the aircraft remaining sealed for a period of twenty-four hours.
